it’s already the second day that I got no classes, thanks to the heavy rains! Its not that im so glad ‘bout it, its just that after weeks of being busy, I was able to rest even for a while. But surely when classes resume its goin’ to be a hectic sked again for me.oh, well that’s part of any student’s life, just got to deal with it.
Thrifty post
im still out on a rental but I’ve thought of somethin’ how to save money and time. The internet rental fee with DSL connection costs 30 php here in our place. But I usually spend around 60 php coz typin’ my post consumes a lot of my time so I thought of doin’ my post at home, just like now. It saves a lot of time coz all I have to do is save this on a disk and when I go out on a rental I’ll just paste this post here in my blog. Now, not all of my time is consumed typing my post, I also have extra time to read other people’s blog or visit my favorite sites and make the most out of an hour with no more extensions.

MOVIE REVIEW
yesterday, I got the chance to watch alien vs predator and here’s what I think about it;
AVP(alien vs predator) is just an average movie. I don’t find it too good but not bad either. it’s a movie worth seein’ but its not a loss if you’ll not be able to go and see it.
Content wise, this movie is an action, creature feature that has a good story, plot. It shows how the predators and aliens were able to come to earth and how all of this just part of a “hunt”. Predators as what their name suggests are the “hunters” and aliens are their “prey”. Humans only play as hosts to the aliens. Aliens lay their eggs on humans and then eventually this eggs hatch inside human bodies, thus giving birth to aliens. After which, the hunt begins. The movie is all about hunting. Predators hunting humans, aliens hunting humans, predator hunting aliens and humans running away but there’s this one part of the movie wherein humans sided with one of the ones hunting them. I like their logic behind it, which is, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”.
Technically, the movie has some good camera shots, angles. The lighting was dark, to conceal most of the aliens and predators and giving it a more surprise factor. Of course the ever-famous CGI’s was also used and the prosthetics (did I spelled that correctly?) were nicely done. If im not mistaken they used robotics for the aliens and it was decent. The acting was fair, though there were no known actors.
What I liked most about this movie are the fight scenes between aliens and predators (hey isn’t it that this is what this movie is all about?). it was really entertaining to see how both of these creatures get at it im not huge fan of either of these two though I have seen a couple of their previous movies and I might say that of all the predator and alien movies ever made I liked this the most. Not bcoz of the special effects but bcoz of the fact that it gives you the idea of how it all began. Just as what I’ve previously said, its just an average movie, if you still can go ahead and watch it but if you still have other things to do, its not a loss. RATING:3
MUSIC REVIEW
I may be biased in doin’ this review coz im a fan of this artist, but I’ma do my best to review this fairly.
JC Chasez’s Schizophrenic. A member of the famous boy band nsync, JC Chasez has finally released his own material just like fellow bandmate, Justin. This album is really a completely different material compared to that of what he used to do with nsync. Obviously its pop only with drops of 80’s electronica, country, techno and r n’ b. the album has a mature content coz some of its tracks like A.D.I.D.A.S (All day long I dream about sex), One night stand, Some Girls (dance with women) talks ‘bout sex.
But this album is not all about sex, of course there are those ballads that slows things down, tracks like “Build my world”, “Dear Goodbye” and “Losing myself”, songs which talks about searching for love, saying goodbye to a previous love and finding a new love.
This is a fast-paced album. Most of the songs have danceable beats, a party album so-to-speak. If you like pop then go ahead and grab a copy of this album. It’s a good listen though if your not a fan of pop, or of this guy, its not a loss passing out on this one. JC was able to do with this album to change that boyband material that he is known for. He was able to grow musically, not just being confined with pop boyband music, though he may still be singing pop but its no longer that boyband pop. But by bein’ a fan I still love to see that JC and the other guys of nsync get back together and do another record.

with these reviews this surely has been another lengthy post. I hope that you didn’t got tired of readin’ this post and my blog. To the 300+ people that have visited my site, for the past four months since this blog came to the World Wide Web, my thanks.
Its also my first time to own an original CD by the way. I bought JC’s album, reason why I got the chance to review it. Its not my plan to buy it originally (the cd), coz I was looking for a cassette but the store clerk told me that there was no cassette version of it. It was only out on CDs. I still have an extra money that’s why I bought but if it’s not my fav artist, I may not have bought it in the first place. ‘Bout a year ago I started buyin’ original albums coz im startin’ to support NO TO PIRACY! Im just buying cassettes coz CDs are quite hefty here in our country, reason why a lot of pirates have sprung out but even if it’s shameful to admit I still buy pirated cds sometimes.
I forgot to tell you at my previous post that I went to St. Scholastica last Friday to watch a concert/fashion show. It was a successful event if not only for the rain! The artists who performed were Barbie’s Cradle, MYMP and Sugarfree. It was my first time seein Barbie and MYMP perform, and man, was Barbie so beautiful!oh, not only Barbie but a couple of females more who also watch the concert.
Before I finally end this post, I’d just like to thank my cousin, Margaux for bein’ such a big help! Thanks a lot!
