"Pretend it's not for never,
I'll pull myself together
I'll say that I'll forget her,
I'll breathe.
And I'll say she never hurt me,
And look at it as learning,
And laugh about the good and the bad.
Because I won't live forever
We don't belong together,
I know I'll be all better,
One day when I can make it through..."

I have been a huge basketball fan ever since and over the course of the last few days so much had happened in the NBA. I don’t know if you’re up to date with the recent changes going on in the basketball world but it’s sure to make a drastic change for the league.
Wednesday, in the United States one of the most blockbuster trades in the history of NBA happened. Shaquille O’Neal, the most dominant player in the league today was traded to the Miami Heat for Lamar Odom, Caron Butler, Brian Grant and a future draft pick. This was a huge trade because there would be balance among the “giants” in the league. Giants meaning those strong, tall and dominant big men like Kevin Garnet, Jermaine O’Neal, Tim Duncan, Rasheed Wallace, Yao Ming and a few more other superstars included in this list but somehow you already have an idea when I mean “giant”. Now both the east and west coasts will have their own share of big men.
Shaq’s departure would bring him back to the east coast where he started his career. Shaq started his career as a member of the Orlando Magic but as he once again returns to the state of Florida he is no longer Magic but a member of the Miami Heat. In Orlando he used to play with all-star guard Penny Hardaway and now he will again play with another up and coming guard and all-star in the making, Dwayne Wade. Only time will tell how this trade would benefit the participating teams. In my opinion, what everyone is guessing is how will Shaq make the Heat a serious contender for the title, come next season. There are a lot of speculations how this trade would fare but what I am sure of is that the next NBA season will be hotter than ever!
In other news regarding the league (naks!), Kobe Bryant, Shaq’s teammate has decided to stay with LA. I wise decision I think because now he ha LA alone. He no longer would have to have any arguments with Shaq. Its his team now just like Michael Jordan is to the Bulls. This would seem wonderful for Kobe but he has a lot to prove by carrying the Lakers to a championship even without a Shaq. Steve Nash has once again returned to Phoenix where he also started his career after spending some time with the Dallas Mavericks. Yao Ming would now have partner in Houston’s dream for a championship. All-star guard Tracy McGrady is joining him with the Rockets coming with him along are Tyronne Lue, Keith Bogans and Juwan Howard. This was a result of Houston’s recent trade with Orlando, which sends Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley and Kelvin Cato. In Dallas, the Mavericks may have lost their premier guard but Maverick fans don’t fret, for the Mavericks has acquired Jerry Stackhouse and Christian Latener from the Washington Wizards in replace for Antawn Jamison and some cash. Rumors have it that the mavs are also eyeing Vince Carter in their roster in replace for Antoine Walker. If this were true, the mavs may have a lot of swingmen in their roster that includes Michael Finley, Jerry Stackhouse, Josh Howard and Vince Carter if ever. Their team may seem like a running one but it surely lacks some big men. They also eyed Shaq in their team but they failed. Rumors are also saying that Denver is seriously targeting Kenyon Martin to be added on their roster. K-Mart, as what he is popularly known is a restricted free agent meaning his team (New Jersey) can offer the same contracts other teams are offering him. If they refuse to do so then the player can choose a team of his choice. Closely competing with Denver is Atlanta.
Paul Pierce and Adamson News.
You might not believe it but its true; Paul Pierce went to our school! He went to our school last June 21 for his Nike Promo Tour. Sadly, I didn’t get to see the show. Sayang…
I got my article published in the latest issue of Adamson News. I wrote that article when I was still a practicumer for the said publication last summer. It was just a short article but it feels good seeing your name printed out in a newspaper. Besides, it’s really my first time having an article being published coz I really don’t write that much (except for this blog.hehe.). I was short article about top Adu High School grads. Here’s a copy of that article…

Salutatorian Mary Katherine Joy Rutaquio was awarded the Gerry Roxas and President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo Leadership Award.

This really feels good after having unfortunate events the other day. Another good news is that we already got back our thesis and there are only a few revisions needed which we hope to finish come Monday of next week. Even if this week was a tiring one it sure ended on a good note. I was really correct with my advice the other day coz it was really just one of those days and soon everything would be all right…and that soon happened so soon and it happened today (what was that again?!)
I sent an S.O.S tonight
