Spanish 101.

I just want to share with you the things I learned at my spanish subject a while ago. These are just the basics but it’ll do for now (coz it’s what all I know so far). You’ll find these very useful as you try to converse in spanish.

Uno.

Question: Como te llamas? (what is your name) or you could also say it as;
Como se llama usted?

The second statement also has the same meaning except for that it’s with respect. In our language usted serve as their po/opo.

Tip: Always remember that everytime you’ll usted in a statement you’ll have to remove the letter s from the word before it.

Answer: Yo me llama ___________ (I am state your name)

Dos.

Question: Donde vives tu? Or Donde vive usted? (where do you live?)
Answer: yo vivo en lacalye _______ numero _________ ciudad/municipal de _______.The answer is translated as: I live at name of the street , house number, city or municipality.

Tres.

Question: que es el numero de tu telefono? (what is your telephone number?)
Answer: el numero de telefono ______ (my telephone number is ______) or just simply state your phone number.

Tip: que es is only read as one syllable. Que es is pronounced as kes.

Quatro.

Question: cuantos años tieñus ? or cuantos años tieñu usted ? (how old are you)
answer: yo tengo ______ años.(I am ______ yrs. Old) or just simply state your age.

Singko.

Question: como te llamas tu padre/tu madre? Or como se llama tu padre/tu madre usted? (What is the name of your father/mother?)
answer: mi padre/mi madre me llama _______ (my father/mother name is)

well that’s about it but before I forget always remember this line coz you’ll find it very useful in almost all types of conversation.

Yo no se which means I don’t know.

no this ain't bout that reality based artista search on tv. i meant it literally.during my practicum today i was able to meet sheryn regis (a finalist for the star in a million i think).man,she was so beautiful though she's so petite but she has beautiful eyes.not only is she beautiful but super nice as well. she even agreed to have a photo taken with me and she gave me an autograph poster. call me cheap,corny or anyway you want but still im happy bout it coz its not everyday that you get to meet celebrities like her who are so down to earth and nice(she even hugged me when our photo was taken)lord thank you.

as soon as the photo is developed i'll post it right away.
