HtMl & TaGS

Earlier today (around midnight actually) I was figuring out how to put up links in my blog. I was looking around in my dashboard if there is any menu that lets me put up links. Stupid old me, I forgot that almost every program has a help software. Why didn’t I think about it in the first place? There are really times that I’m such a dum-dum. Enough of this self-pity, there I was reading the help menu and alas, I saw the answer I was looking for. I saw the way how your supposed to put up links, where to put it, the tags, templates and everything. The only problem I had was to make it work. I knew I did something wrong coz it wasn’t working. In the template, I saw there the links menu (if that’s what its called) and so I pasted there the tags that I did. To my surprise when I previewed it, it didn’t work. So there was I, going back to square one. I read the instruction for the 2nd time around, I know I did the right thing but it just puzzles me why it didn’t work. I experimented for a few times copy-pasting here and there until I was able to finally make it work. The only problem I have now is making the links appear in a new window coz all the links I did just replaces the current webpage your on. Though I’m not yet happy with the results I got at least the links are working, try it for yourself. Somehow I’m quite proud with this achievement coz I really don’t know anything about programming or putting up websites. Im not even a computer science or engineering student. I’m a communication major so these things are really way out of line for me. This achivement is really a product of my self-study and experimentation (naks!). I know I still have a lot to learn to be good at this so Im not stopping at this point. I also wish that I could put up my own website someday but I know that day is still far away. I met my cousin a while ago and he’s a comsci stude and I asked him if ever he has books regarding this and he said yes and he’s going to lend it to me. YiPeEE! This html/tagging stuff has been really my new interest the moment I finished putting up my links. The next thing I have in mind (aside from having the links appear in a new window) is how to change my comments page and putting up/uploading photos. If ever you have friendster you could also add me up.hEHe.Before, all I know ‘bout computers are gaming, Microsoft office, adobe photshop and a little knowledge of adobe premiere (naks na naman!). But now this has really been a new field of interest for me which could be very helpful to me someday coz im planning to take up a major in advertising after graduation. I really intend on becoming an advertiser someday (but much more on the creative side. The ones who makes the tv/radio commercials, print ads, etc.) If ever I’d be given a chance, I also wish to be a commercial model, an actor or even a director (naks again!).

I’m also fond of film making, eh. As a matter of fact, I already did a short film with my friends, which I directed and co-starred in. Its entitled “PULA?”. It’s a horror movie inspired by the ring. I didn’t did the story, it was done by my good ‘ol buddy JamB. I’m proud of our film but I must admit its still isn’t that good. There is still a lot of room for improvement. But according to the few people who’ve watched it said they liked it. I don’t know but if ever we have better equipments and enough time then I could really say that it’s a good film. Im not saying that it isn’t good its just that im not yet contended with the results. It was also our project last semester so it was rushed coz we had to beat the deadline. Given the chance that we’d make another movie for sure we’d make a much more better one this time. As for groupmates who don’t have their copy yet, just give your blank cds and I’ll burn you one. Aside from this short film I also directed one tv commercial and a music video. During our recent Filmfest at school, our group bagged two awards. One for the music video, which was the Best Music Video Concept and another for the short film, which is Best Musical Score. I already said that I couldn’t have done it without the help and support of my family, friends, professors and our Dear Lord but I just want to thank them once again, THANKS GUYS!

I’ll be out for the weekend because I’m going home to Cavite to visit my parents.
