"Pretend it's not for never,
I'll pull myself together
I'll say that I'll forget her,
I'll breathe.
And I'll say she never hurt me,
And look at it as learning,
And laugh about the good and the bad.
Because I won't live forever
We don't belong together,
I know I'll be all better,
One day when I can make it through..."

HaRRy PoTtER
Late in the afternoon today I watched “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”. I have no intention of watching that movie so I don’t know why I did go and watched it. My original plan was only to go strolling in the mall. But when I pass by the movie skeds I realized that I had nothing important to do so I went and watched the movie. Though it was never part of my original plan of watching this movie, I had no regrets. It wasn’t a waste of both my time and money. I was never a fan of Harry Potter but I have seen all his movies including this one and I might say that all of them were good. I also have never read any of J.K. Rowling’s best selling novels so I didn’t know if these movies stayed true to its origins. Among the 3 films (i.e. Sorcerer’s stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban) the latest one has the more mature touch. Its also darker as compared to its predecessors. The plot also has an interesting twist (not unless you’ve already read the book). Not everything was spoon-fed. You’ll be surprised about the revelations at the later part of the film. I liked the way they presented the protagonists and antagonists of the film. Its good because it makes you think which is which. I know the reason you’re watching a movie is because you want to relax and be entertained and not to think. What if I say that this movie makes you do both but even though that’s the case I’m sure that you’ll have a great time. I might say that there are no dull moments in the film, even dialogues are entertaining and for sure you’ll be glued to your seats (or standing which ever case may be) from start to finish. The only downfall I see for this film was the special effects. Their was a werewolf which wasn’t as scary as compared to the werewolves in Van Helsing and Underworld. Also, they have those creatures that Harry was so afraid of which looked like cousins of the Ring Wraiths at Lord of the Rings (sorry but I forgot what they were called). I mean, these creatures weren’t that scary. May be for me but for children they could be. What I’m trying to say is that its not that convincing, as for the case of the Ring Wraiths look-a-likes, I think they should have taught of another presentation of these creatures because it was already used in another film so viewers may think that they only copied such. May be you’ll even ask; “Hey Harry, have you seen Frodo?” Obviously, I didn’t liked this film because of its special effects or the hype that it brings. I liked mainly it because of its story. Why? Because even non-Potter fans (like me) would have a good time watching it and isn’t it that a good story makes a great movie? And isn’t it that this story made what Harry Potter is today?
PrActIcUM
Just an update on my INCOMPLETE Practicum…Earlier today before I went out and watched a movie I called up two radio stations regarding slots for practicum. I first called up 89.9 Magic but I didn’t get to talk to the person I was looking for. So I I tried up calling the other station which was Jam 88.3. Luckily, I was able to talk to someone with regards to my problem. They told me to call back again on Monday because their current practicumer will be finished this coming Friday. I think were already next in line if ever but I still have a problem. Classes at our school (Adamson University) start on Monday meaning I have to balance my sked both for school and practicum. It’s a good thing that I only have 18 units this semester and all my classes are in the afternoon. But still, its kinda hard doing both at the same time. I really hope that I finish this before the month ends because I have my MassComm research this semester. I really do hope that I’ll be able to make it. Please pray for me.

I would just like to make this post to say thanks to the first person that made a comment on my blog. A good friend of mine, Theresa, visited my blog yesterday and she left the first comment on my blog. I know I’ve been sour-grapping on my last few posts because no one seems to visit my blog even if I already promoted it at Friendster. But now, I’m happy that someone spent some time reading my stupid thoughts. She also has a blog of her own actually (which I was also able to visit) which was also nice. If I only knew how to put up links then I’ll put up hers. Sadly, I don’t know yet how to so I’ll just promote it here. Theresa’s blog is at:

Another good friend of mine who has an interesting blog, Jeanie, her site I think is at:

I just hope that she wouldn’t be the first and the last to visit my blog.hehe.
